    Structure of the letter

    Paragraph 1 It should state clearly:

    - Why you are writing

    - Where you saw the advertised job.

    Paragraph 2 It should give a little:

    -Information about your qualifications and experience.

    Paragraph 3 It should say:

    -      Why you believe you are suited to the job.

    -       What you can offer the company.

    Paragraph 4 It should tell the reader

    -      When you are available for an interview

                     - How to contact you

    Open and Mix punctuation

    Open punctuation has no punctuation after the salutation or complimentary closing, no commas in the addressee's address and no periods after abbreviations: 

    The President of the United States

    Closed punctuation has punctuation after the salutation and closing, in the address and after abbreviations
