First and foremost, you are required to look for information and stop relying only on your professor lectures. We all know that it is not enough to understand the material. Try to understand that you are no longer a high school student anymore, but rather a university student who is expected to take responsibility for his/her own learning. Thus, putting in some effort by doing homeworks is a key for your success in academia. Moreover, taking notes, attending, and paying attention to what your professor says will guide and frame your scope of searching for the desired information which will benefit you, especially to prepare for exams.
